Following last week's announcement of the Open Handset Alliance, today we're happy to offer an early look at the Android SDK. We're eager to get feedback from lots of developers in our discussion group. We're also providing developer documentation and this blog to help you get up and going.
You're probably wondering about what's available today. This preview of the SDK will allow you to develop Android applications that you can run, test, profile, and debug using the emulator and the other included tools. Note that the look and feel of the user interface in the emulator is a placeholder for a final version that is under development.
One of our goals in releasing the Android SDK is to unleash the creativity of application developers on the platform. We'd also like to get feedback early enough that we can make changes before the first Android-powered devices are available to the public. We plan to release updates to the SDK regularly which means that there will be additions and changes to the APIs and user experience — subscribe to this blog to stay up to date.
We're really looking forward to seeing all the amazing applications that developers will create on an open mobile phone platform. In fact, you may even want to enter your application into the Android Developer Challenge — a USD$10 million challenge sponsored by Google to support and recognize developers who build great applications for the Android platform.

***Gameplay***
Build your army by collecting warriors.
There are over 100 different warriors to use. From Military personnel to samurai and ninjas. Find them, recruit them, and enhance them and make your army strong enough to crush the doctor and his plans.
You’ll need a big army to stop the doctor’s zombie hoard, but numbers alone will not be enough. You’ll need to enhance your army by combining two or more soldiers to create a super soldier. There are four levels for each super soldier.
Fight the approaching zombie hoard. Only you can defeat the crazy doctor with your army of super soldiers. Choose your warriors, place them on the battlefield in the city and let them fight. Target zombies with a tap of the finger. Remember pick your warriors carefully, as you cannot change mid-battle. Only you and your band of warriors stand between the doctor and his plans for world domination.
Squash the undead army. As you kill zombies and win battles you can gather items and gems. This can be used to strengthen your army, by finding more warriors or by combining and enhancing your current army.
Smash the zombie hoard with various special attacks.
Your units have many special attacks you can choose from. Cut, shoot, blow up and kick the zombies into submission. Take out your stress on the zombies, and live happily ever after...

Some android games have issues when a gamepad stick is used and, at the same time, the screen is touched. Usually this hangs those games so they show an Application Not Respond message. If this happens is NOT a problem with the mapper but with the games and it will happen without the mapper installed as well.
The app works much better if you have a kernel with uinput module. Without uinput it is convenient to have the provided IME running. The game compatibility is lower.
This application requires ROOT. This is essential to control input devices.

Rather than being obtrusive and ugly like predictive typing, this keyboard aids your current method of typing to increase accuracy without wasting screen space.
For Example : If you press the 'h' key, the e,o,u,i and y keys expand as commonly the h key would be followed by these letters. When they grow, they are now more likely to be triggered, and keys like z etc stay small as they are unlikely to be needed.
Remember, you will have to get used to the keyboard. But shouldn't take long and you'll be doing fine.
This style of prediction doesn't take over your typing, it aids your own skills to increase speed and accuracy. You won't even notice it's there after a while! It does not try to be obtrusive with words either, which also helps make the app snappy and quick!
This is not a keylogger! There is no data related permissions or any internet permissions in this app. This app is COMPLETELY SAFE!
Currently the app does not have word predictions. Sorry I will do my best to try fix this and add it in future.

Installation :
1) Install and open the app.

One of the requests we hear most commonly from developers is to enable more devices to run the latest features of RenderScript. Over the past several releases of Android, we’ve added a ton of functionality to the RenderScript runtime, but the runtime's dependence on the core Android platform version has limited the range of devices that can support that new functionality. We’ve been working on a solution to this since last year, and we’re now ready to share it with all Android developers.
Today we're announcing a new RenderScript Support Library and updated SDK tools that together let you take advantage of RenderScript on plaform versions all the way back to Android 2.2 (Froyo).
With ADT v22.2, SDK Tools v22.2, and Android Build Tools v18.1.0, apps targeting Android 2.2 and later can now make use of almost all of the functionality available natively in RenderScript with Android 4.3. This includes access to the newest RenderScript features such as high-performance intrinsics and the new performance optimizations available to scripts.
Using the RenderScript Support Library
Using the RenderScript Support Library is straightforward. Once you've updated ADT and your SDK tools, there are only two things that you have to do to start using Renderscript in your apps:
- In your classes that use RenderScript, import the RenderScript Support Library from
android.support.v8.renderscript. If you are already using native RenderScript, you can change your import fromandroid.renderscripttoandroid.support.v8.renderscript.import android.support.v8.renderscript.*;
- In your project.properties, make sure you’re targeting android-18 and add the following lines:
renderscript.target=18
renderscript.support.mode=true
sdk.buildtools=18.1.0
That’s it! With the RenderScript Support Library, you can continue to use the same APIs from your app as with the native RenderScript package (with a few minor exceptions that we’ll talk about below), and you can use the same features in your own scripts as you would with the latest RenderScript toolchain.

API and Implementation details
If you'd like to use RenderScript Support Library in your app, there are few things you should know:
- First, the RenderScript Support Library supports almost all of the RenderScript API functions as the native API that's available in API level and higher. The one notable exception is that
Allocation.USAGE_IO_INPUTandAllocation.USAGE_IO_OUTPUTare not currently available in the RenderScript Support Library. - Second, devices running Android 4.2 and earlier will always run their RenderScript applications on the CPU, while devices running Android 4.3 or later will run their RenderScript applications on whatever processors are available on that particular device. Because the Support Library versions of the scripts have to be precompiled to support all possible platforms, there is a performance hit when running the precompiled scripts compared to runtime compilation on Android 4.3 due to more restrictions on compiler optimizations.
We’re really pleased with how the RenderScript Support Library has turned out. We've already seen how it performs in a shipping app — it's been part of the photo editor in the Google+ Android app since May 2013, and it’s definitely proven itself in a large and widely used application.
